(1) The bird
seen during April and May at Trujillo and Belén, Cáceres
was seen again on 1.8 at Belén (Roger Tonnel) and on 3.8 (Vicenta
Moreno, Pascual Labajo, Nereida Labajo, Álvaro Díaz). The
bird was apparently in bad condition on 3.8. It seems that one leg is almost,
if not, broken and it is behaving extremely tame (!)

this juvenile was seen at Pitillas lagoon, Navarra. It was photographed
within a large group of Hen and Montagu's Harriers. Later in the evening,
while looking at the pictures, the photographer realised it might be a
Pallid. It was not seen again (Ricardo Rodríguez). See a photo below

an adult was seen at river Llobregat, just below the bridge of the former
C-245 at Sant Boi de LLobregat (Raul Bastida). Attempts of relocation were
carried out the same evening and on 18.8 without success (R.Gutiérrez)

a bird was seen at Ria de la Villa, Villaviciosa, Asturies (Adolfo Villaverde )See

a breeding plumaged bird was seen at Salinas de Janubio, Lanzarote, Canary

(1) The bird seen previously in
Castelló province, was relocated on 5.8 at Burriana harbour (José
Bort) and on 9.8 at Castelló harbour (El Grau) (Miguel Tirado).
Since late june, it has moulted almost all coverts, its eyes and legs have
become paler and it has begun its primary feathers moult into its 2nd winter

Interesting
shot of the same bird on 16.August side by side of a juvenile Audouin's
Gull Larus audouinii. Note the relatively similar head profile with
perhaps a rounder crown in the audouinii (Miguel Tirado)
(2) A 1st summer/2nd winter birds
was seen at Xunqueira del Lagares, Vigo, Pontevedra on 8.8 (César
Vidal ).
Note the differences in plumage with the Castelló bird (!).
(3) On 14, 18 and 19.8 a 2nd winter
bird was seen at Tancada lagoon, Ebre delta, Tarragona (Josep Tantull,
Roser Solé, Joan Gil). It is presumably the same bird seen until

was seen at Desembocadura del Guadalhorce, Málaga on 10.8 (Samuel

(2) A juvenile/1st
winter was seen on 15.8 at La Rogera, PN Aiguamolls de l'Empordà,
Girona (Jordi Martí-Aledo ,
Francesc Kirchner). The bird was amongst a group of Yellow Wagtails and
was greyer than the Malaga bird above.
