Shearwater Puffinus mauretanicus. There were 430 ind. off Gola
de Pal, PN Delta de l'Ebre, Tarragona on 14.11 (David Bigas).There were
2 off Santoña, Cantabria on 18.11 (Álvaro Bustamante).There
were 4 off Tarragona on 20.11 (F.López., R.Gutiérrez).'Many'
were reported on 22.11 off Marismas del Odiel, Huelva (Manolo Villaécija,
José Manuel Reyes). There were 185 off Tarragona harbour on 21.11
with 15 yelkouan too (Albert Cama, Philipp Garcia). There were 70
off Cap de Creus with 32 yelkouan on 21.11 (Ponç Feliu).
On 23.11, between 16h - 16h45, there were 103 Balearic Shearwater in front
of the beach of Torredembarra, Tarragona (Raphaël Lebrun & Eva
Andreu).There were 70 mauretanicus with a bunch of yelkouans
at Roses bay, Girona on 28.11 (T.Montràs i Jordi Martí Aledo).
On 30.11 there were 680 off Tarragona harbour (Albert Cama)

2 at Desembocadura del Guadalhorce, Málaga on 2.11 (Antonio Tamayo).On
7.11 there were 3 at Filipines marsh, Llobregat delta one of whose presumably
was of the so called modesta subspecies(see
this AERC webpage for further details) in adult breeding (black bill,
reddish legs but no aigrettes) plumage (Ricard Gutiérrez; Juan Bescós).

valley, Navarra (Gorka Gorospe).Another adult appeared at Llobregat river,

without any captivity origin trace, besides, the stomach plenty of aquatic

On 7.11 a flock of seven swans believed to be of
this species was seen flying NW close to Barizo and Seiruga, Malpica, Galicia
(Cosme Damián Romai Cousido). On 8.11 some people saw the birds
feeding in the marsh of ria de Seiruga but intensive searching of the group
on 9.11 was unsuccessful.On 16.11 there were 3 birds at Estuario da Insua,
Ponteceso. They had been discovered few days before by José Luís
Rabuñal Patiño (A.Sandoval, L.Salaverri, P.Pita, B.Torres,
P.Gutiérrez).Still two on 23.11 (Tito y Rafa Salvadores, César

was a pair. Local birders believe that the Asturies birds and the Ortigueira
birds (see below) might be the same according to dates of dissapearing
and arrival to Galicia BUT the two birds were relocated on 13.11 so are

company of 5 Tufted Ducks Aythya fuligula at PN Aiguamolls de l'Empordà,
Girona on 2.11 (J.Martí-Aledo, Teresa Montràs, M.Caamaño).
On 3.11 was still there (O.Clarabuch, P.Feliu i altres) and it has been
discovered that was seen and later photographed without being initially
assigned to the species on 1.11 (Martí Rodríguez ; Angel
Arroyes), being this the first date for the species there. See

(J.I.Dies; J.L.Terrasa, T.Alcocer, D.Cruz). The bird was in good condition
but after some research no idea of its origin has been established, hence

One was seen and photographed at El Rocío on 7.11 (a subadult) which
may well be again an hybrid like that (or the same) reported last year
or a pomarina but some local birders claim it as clanga (John
Muddeman) . This eagle was first reported on 20.10 by José Luis
Arroyo. Much detailed information is needed to judge this record.

and cabo Peñes, Asturies, there was a probable bird betwen 3-9.11
(COA).There were two at El Hondo NR, Alicante on 15.11 (Oscar Aldeguer,
Rubén Limiñana) to 16.11 (Adolfo J Quiles) when photographed.

individual was seen at Santiago de Ambiedes, near cabo Negro, Asturies
on 6.11 (Jorge Valella).

A
bird, possibly a male moulting into winter plumage was found within a Skylark
Alauda
arvensis flock and three Snow Buntings at Cabo
Negro, Gozón, Asturies on 3-4.11 (Manuel Quintana Becerra; Elias
García, J.A.García Fernadez, D.López Velasco, C.Alvarez
Usátegui).Seen again on 7.11when possitively aged as adult in winter
plumage (Manuel Quintana, Clemente Álvarez Usátegui). During
the afternoon it was photographed (Jorge Valella, Daniel López Velasco).

Bunting Plectrophenax nivalis. On 3.11 there were three, a male
and 2 1st winters at Gozón, Asturies (see Lapland
Bunting) (M.Quintana, E.Garcia). On 1.11 there was one at PN Corrubedo,
Ribeira, A Coruña (TIto y Rafael Salvadores, César Vidal).See
a photo below.There was a male at playa de la Gerra, San Vicente de la
Barquera, Cantabria on 8.11(Alejandro García Herrera).At Sierra
de la Bobia, Villanueva de Oscos, Asturies, there was a flock of 8 birds
on 5.11 aproximately at 1100 meters above sea level (Xurde Gayol).On 7.11
the three of Gozón were still there (Manuel Quintana Becerra).There
were 4 more at cabu Peñas, Asturies on 4.11 (Elias García
Sánchez).There was one at Santander city itself on 17.11 (possibly
the street was Camilo Alonso Vega street) (Felipe González).There
were 7 at Insua sand-dunes, Ponteceso, A Coruña on 23.11 (Tito y
Rafael Salvadores, César Vidal). Two
