Gipuzkoa. The bird found on 21.11.2018 at Txingudi marshes, Hondarribia, Gipuzkoa was seen again from 3-7.4 (Paul Ortuzar, José F. Esparcia @ornitho.eus). On 11.4 it was still there (José F. Esparcia, Paul Ortuzar @ornitho.eus). Still present the following days: 14.4 (José F. Esparcia, Xabi Urmeneta @eBird), 15-16.4 (David Santamaria @eBird), 17.4 (José F. Esparcia, David Santamaria, Rajen Ayerra @eBird), 19.4 (José F.Esparcia @eBird).

The bird found on 1.12.2017 at Rio Cabras gorge, SE of of Tesjuate, Fuerteventura, Canary Islands (28°28'32.7"N 13°54'11.0"W) and relocated in 2018 was seen again on 7.4 (Michaël Vandeput @observado.es) and 8.4 (Filipe Contim @observado.es). Still there on 21.4 (J.A. Sarry @observado.es). nSeen again on 25.4 (Helmut Pfeifenberger @eBird).

(1) Zaragoza. A hybrid Greater x Lesser Spotted Eagle Clanga clanga x pomarina from Latvia was seen at Bárboles, Aragón on 4.4 (Ricardo Pérez). See a note in AODA bird report here (in Spanish).

(2) Ciudad Real. A 1w was seen at Laguna del Camino de Villafranca, Ciudad Real on 8.4 (Pedro Bustamante @eBird).

(1) Murcia. The bird found at Cabo de Palos, Cartagena on 31.12.2018 was still there on 6.4 (Susana Noguera, Antonio Varona @eBird). Reported again more frequently towards the end of the month: 24.4 (Juan Nicolás, Diego Zamora @eBird), 26.4 (Diego Zamora @eBird), 27.4 (Susana Noguera, Tomás Garcia, 28.4 (Pablo Santonja @eBird) and 29.9 (Juan Nicolás, Michael Brewer @eBird).

(1-2) Barcelona. The nest at El Prat continued active in April. Two birds were seen at Nelson Mandela bridge on 2.4 (Pau Esteban @ornitho.cat) and one on 6.4 (Toni Fernàndez, Sergi Arís; Arnau Bonan @ornitho.cat) and 7.4 (Pere Baucells @ornitho.cat).On 9.4 one was seen at Cal Tet area, El Prat de Llobregat, Barcelona (Jaume Campderròs @ornitho.cat). On 20.4 a bird was seen around the industrial estate, El Prat (Stephen Menzie @eBird). A bird was seen at El Prat on 25.4 (Jordi Ruestes @ornitho.cat) then another over L'Illa lagoon towards La Ricarda lagoon, El Prat de Llobregat, on 30.4 (Raúl Bastida @ornitho.cat)..

(3-4) Barcelona. The breeding pair at Sant Boi de Llobregat was still active in early April. On 2.4 a bird was seen near C-32 (Miguel Cornejo @ornitho.cat). Seen one on 6.4 too (Xavi Escobar @ornitho.cat).On 9.4 presumably one of these was seen at Viladecans, Barcelona (Daniel Jiménez @ornitho.cat) Two birds were seen on 15.4 (Sergi Sales) and three were there on 16.4 (Nat Argullós @ornitho.cat). Three were there over C-32 motorway on 26.4 (Jonathan Skipper @ornitho.cat) and also three on 28.4 (Arnau Bonan @ornitho.cat)...

(5) Barcelona. The (tiny) expansion of the species continues with a bird seen at Bages comarca in April: one was at Aiguamolls de la Bòbila, Santpedor on 2.4 (Bernat Ferrer @ornitho.cat). Seen again on 3.4 (Daniel Mañas, Josep Bosch, see a thumbnail here), 4.4 (Carles Martorell, Jordi Faus, Sergi Fernàndez @ornitho.cat) and 5.4 (Jordi Comellas @ornitho.cat). On 9.4 it was seen in other Bages locations: Sant Fruitós de Bages (Sergi Fernández @ornitho.cat) and Manresa too (Sergi Fernández @ornitho.cat). On 15.4 a bird remained in the area (Sergi Fernández @ornitho.cat) and the same was seen on 16.4 (Rosa Mª Alonso; Adrián Pina, Joan Gimestells @ornitho.cat). Also present on 17.4 (Jordi Comellas, Santiago Guallar @ornitho.cat) and 18.4 (Jordi Comellas @ornitho.cat). The bird was at Aiguamoll de la Bòbila on 24.4 and 27.4 (Jordi Comellas, Bernat Ferrer @ornitho.cat)..

(6) Barcelona. There was a bird flying over Ronda de Sant Antoni area, Barcelona to the South on 6.4 (Antonio Rodríguez Sinovas @ornitho.cat).

(7) Barcelona. There was a bird at Parc del Litoral, Sant Adrià de Besòs, on 28.4 (Xavi Larruy @ornitho.cat).

(1) Barcelona
. A tristis-like bird, seen also last 8.3.2019, continued at Parc Fluvial del Besòs, Sant Adrià de Besòs, Barcelonès on 2.4 (ornitho.cat).

(2) Barcelona. A tristis-like bird with no hint of yellow, whitish orbital ring and even a faint vinaceous tinge in the chest was seen, not heard, at Can Dimoni, Sant Boi de Llobregat, Delta del Llobregat, Baix Llobregat, on 4.4 (Ricard Gutiérrez).

(3) Navarra. A tristis-like bird was photographed at Pamplona parks on 14.4 (Ricardo Rodríguez). See a photo below and a thumbnail here.

(4) Girona.A tristis-like bird was seen at Mas Trencat area, PN Aiguamolls de l’Empordà, Girona on 15.4 (Santiago Guallar @ornitho.cat).

(5) Asturias. A tristis-like bird was seen at Verdicio, Gozón, Asturias, on 7.4 but probably there since late March (Manuel Quintana). See a photo below.

(2) Barcelona. A bird was seen at Collserola, Barcelona city, on 19.4 (ornitho.cat).

(3-4) Girona. Two males, an adult and a 2cy were seen near the Pedret dump on 20.4 (Manel Barrios, Enric Muñoz @birdingemporda.com). Still there on 21.4 (Ramon Aguilar @birdingemporda.com). A male was still there on 23.4 (Manel Barrios @birdingemporda.com)..

(5) Girona. Another 2cy male was found at Closa de les Daines, PN Aiguamolls de l’Empordà, Girona on 20.4 (Juan Bécares @birdingemporda.com).

(6) Girona. An adult male was found north of Puig Alt, Girona on 20.4 (Dani Valverde @ornitho.cat).

(7) Girona. A male was seen at Pau, Girona on 20.4 (Jordi Riera @ornitho.cat).

(8) Girona. A male was found at the road between Port de la Selva and la Perafita on 20.4 (Jordi Bermejo).

(9) Girona. A male was found at Mas Puignau, Cap Gros, El Port de la Selva, Girona, on 20.4 (Jordi Bermejo). Still there on 21.4 (Ponç Feliu; Jordi Bermejo).

(10) Girona. A 2cy male was found at Mas de Mornau, Aiguamolls de l’Empordà on 20.4 (Manel Barrios, Enric Muñoz @birdingemporda.com).

(11-12) Girona. Two males were seen at Montgrí massif, one near cau del Duc the other at Ullà quarry, Torroella de Montgrí, Girona on 20.4 (Gerard Dalmau, Elisabet Tetas, Liviu Parau).

(13-14) Girona. Two males were seen at Baix Ter area on 20.4: one at basses d’en Coll (Eduard Batista), photo enclosed, the other, a 2cy at Mas Garriguer (Juan Bécares @birdingempordà.com, Quique Carballal).

(15) Barcelona. A 2cy male was seen near the Ripollet CAP on 20.4 (Jordi Sala). One seen by many more observers later (Bernat Iglesias, Xavi Escobar; Joan Pujol; Martí Franch et al; Rafa Armada -two photos below-; Javier Aute, Vittorio Pedrocchi; Sergi Torné), Still there on 21.4 (Pere Baucells; Sergi Torné; Daniel Servitje; Sergi Sales). (17-18) Girona. Two males (at least one 2cy) were found near the graveyard at El Port de la Selva on 21.4 (Ponç Feliu, Aleix Comas).

(19-24) Girona. There were six males at Cap Gros, El Port de la Selva, on 21.4 (Jordi Bermejo).
