(1) Asturias. A bird was seen on 16.10 (Rubén Fernández @eBird) and 17.10 at Embalse de Trasona, Asturias (Jon Iratzagorria Garay @eBird).Still there on 18.10 (José Navarro @eBird).

(2-6) A Coruña. Five (an adult and four immatures were seen at Lires, Ceé, A Coruña on 28.10 (Francisco Javier García Lema). See two photos below.

(1) Fuerteventura. The bird found on 1.12.2017 at Rio Cabras gorge, SE of of Tesjuate, Fuerteventura, Canary Islands (28°28'32.7"N 13°54'11.0"W) and not reported since August 2018 was relocated at the same barranco on 24.10 (Bart Ros @observado.es). Photo here.

(1) Cádiz. A bird was reported as pure individual from Pastores, Cádiz on 4.10 (Juan Miguel González @ eBird). Perhaps the same bird was seen on 15.10 at La Janda, Cádiz (Ron Harold).

(1-2) Alicante. Two birds were seen at El Fondo, Elx, Alacant, on 26-27.10 (Ian Hayes): one was Tonn, the Estonian satellite-tagged bird on 26.10 at Santa Águeda and then another with no tag on 27.10. See a thumbnail here.

Cádiz. On 20.10 a bird was found at La Janda, Cádiz (José Manuel López, Eugenia Pérez). Relocated later (Javier Elorriaga, see a thumbnail here). Seen again on 22.10 (Jon Iratzagorria @eBird; José María Fernández Zapata, Faustino Chamizo @eBird) and on 23.10 (Sergio Briones @eBird).

Tarragona. The returning adult seen again as in previous years at Migjorn grassfields, Sant Jaume d’Enveja from 18.8 was still present in the area on 6.10 (Quique Carballal; Ricard Gutiérrez, Helena Arbonés -see three photos below and a thumbnail here-) and on 7.10 (Manolo Sánchez Blanch). If behaving as in previous seasons, it will move to ricefields near the river when hunting season begins from 12.10 on. Seen again on 13.10 (Martí Franch @ornitho.cat).

Sevilla. There was a bird at Laguna del Gobierno, La Lantejuela, Sevilla, on 12.10 (Fernando Díaz @observado.org). On 13.10 it was still there (Fernando Enrique Navarrete, F. José Aguilar, Carlos Moreno @eBird). The bird was seen again on 16.10 ( Javier Rengel).

(2) Zamora. There was a bird at Villafáfila lagoons, Zamora, on 14.10 (Juanjo González). See a thumbnail here.It was seen again on 15.10 (Manolo Segura). See a photo below. Seen again on 16.10 (Juan José Ramos Encalado @eBird).

(1) Pontevedra . A 1w swallow matching the characters of this species was seen on 15.10 flying over Udra cape, Beluso, Bueu, Pontevedra, SW Galicia (José Ramón Gómez, Ana IsabelPérez).

Oriental Lesser Whitethroat Sylvia curruca blythi/halimodendri (1,2)
(1) Girona.
A bird from eastern origin (characters matching halimodendri but impossible to tell from blythi) was seen and photographed on 20.10 at Cala Joncols, PN Cap de Creus, Girona (Gerard Dalmau, M.Angel Fuentes, Jordi Bermejo). On 22.10 it was seen again (Pau Calero, Francesc Dalmau, Gerard Dalmau, Oriol Clarabuch, Aleix Comas; Pau García Campderròs). See photos below (Miguel Àngel Fuentes). This is to date the 1st presumed eastern race Lesser Whitethroat to be photographed and recorded in Catalunya. Seen again on 23.10 (Enric Fontcuberta, Daniel Roca, Toni Alonso; Joan Padró, Dani Mañas, Ferran Fontellas,Miquel Casas i Ponç Feliu). (2) Gipuzkoa. A bird also showing features of oriental forms was seen at Txingudi--Plaiaundi, Gipuzkoa on 23.10 (Fontxo Guevara). On 25.10 it was seen again (Itziar Gutiérrez, Leo San José, Fidel Otazo; Alejandro H.Rodríguez @eBird). (1) Barcelona.
A 1w bird was found at Parc del Migdia, Montjuïc, Barcelona, on 15.10 morning (Helena Navalpotro, Robert Manzano). The bird attracted tens of birdwatchers to attempt watching it. Seen later in the day by more authors, and properly photographed, see below (Sergi Sales; Xavier Escobar, Biel Bernat, Rafa Armada, Jordi Cebrian, Ricard Gutiérrez; Jordi Sala, Joan Pujol, Ponç Feliu, Marc Noguera, Josep Bel et al). Seen again on 16.10 (Daniel Roca; Quique Carballal; Mireia Martín, Pau García Campderròs, Gabri de Jesús, Enric Fontcuberta et al). Not seen on 17.10.

(5) Madrid. On 23.10 a presumed adult/2cy bird showing orangish throat patch was seen at Parque de El Retiro, Madrid (Bob Knox @eBird).
