Bean Goose Anser fabalis rossicus (1,2-3,4)
(1) Ávila The bird found on 20.11 at Laguna del Oso, Ávila remained there on 2.12 (Delfín González). See a photo below, a thumbnail here and a video below (all Delfín González). It was still present on 9.12 (Juan Ramón Cuervo, Jordi Vázquez) and 17.12 (Jus Pérez Martín) to 28.12 (Hugo Sánchez).
(2-3) Zamora On 3.12 there were 2 ind at Salina Grande, R.N. de las Lagunas de Villafáfila, Zamora (José Barrueso). One remained there on 8.12 (Cosme Damián Romai Cousido y Atocha Ramos). Same bird was seen on 27.12 too (Cristian Osorio)
(4) Palencia There was a bird at La Nava, Palencia, on 3.12 (David Calleja Marcos). See a thumbnail here. It was still there on 18.12 (Juan Sagardía).
Pink-footed Goose Anser brachyrhynchus (1-2,3-4,5,6,7)

(3-4) Cantabria There were two at Escalante meadows, Santoña on 9.12 (Oscar Gutiérrez). Birds remained there on 11.12 (Javier Portillo y Juan Carlos Andrés). (5) Zamora On 8.12 there was one at R.N. de las Lagunas de Villafáfila, Zamora (Cosme Damián Romai Cousido y Atocha Ramos). On 17.12 it was still there (Pedro Tapia, Jesús Ruiz, Gregorio García, Javier Martínez de Aramallona y Ángel Martínez). This bird with a new one was seen on 24.12 at the same site (Abraham Arias y José Barrueso)
(6) Huelva On 22.12 an adult was found at Marisma Gallega, Hinojos, Huelva (David Vargas, José Juan Díaz, Javier Salcedo y Rafa Romero)
(7) Zamora On 24.12 two birds (presumably this and (5) were seen at Salina Grande, R.N. de las Lagunas de Villafáfila, Zamora (Abraham Arias y José Barrueso).
Pale-bellied Brent Goose Branta bernicla hrota (1) (1) Murcia One individual frequented the muddy areas between La Manga del Mar Menor and las salinas de San Pedro del Pinatar, Murcia on 17.12 (Richard Howard) and 18.12 (Conrado Requeño, Javier Noguera, Francisco Javier Palacios y Toni Garcia; Richard Howard, Isidro Bartolomé). Green-winged Teal Anas carolinensis (1,2)
(1) A Coruña There was a drake at As Forcadas, Valdoviño, on 6.12 (Ricardo Hevia). It remained there on 8.12 (Óscar Llama) and 10.12 (Joan A. Ximenis, Pablo Galiano, Ricardo Fernandez, Manuel Santa Cruz)
(2) Asturies On 14.12 presumably the same drake it has been seen intermitently was again at Ria de Villaviciosa, Asturies (Adolfo Villaverde)
Blue-winged Teal Anas discors (1,2) (1) Tenerife. There was a probable ♀ at charcas de riego de El Polvillo, Los Silos, Tenerife (Juan José Ramos Melo y Gonzalo Gil / Birding Canarias).
(2) Fuerteventura. The bird found on 31.10 remained at Rosa de Catalina García, Fuerteventura on 17.12 (Hugues Dufourny) and 18.12 (David Walsh;Hugues Dufourny) to 26-30.12 at least (Eckhard Moller).
Ring-necked Duck Aythya collaris (1-2,3)
(1-2) Fuerteventura On 18.12 (Hugues Dufourny) and 19.12 (David Walsh)there were 2 ♀ at Los Molinos reservoir, Fuerteventura.These birds remained there on 26.12 (Eckhard Moller).
(3) Lleida On 29.12 a drake, very probably the same individual having frequented the ponds and small reservoirs W of Lleida city, was found at Pantà de Camelis, Torres de Segre (Ricard Gutiérrez, Josep Arbonés). The bird had been seen in late November (from 20.11.2011, Marc Gàlvez & José Guerra) in the wide area but the record had not been widespread for conservation purposes. Current location, however, is safe for any would-be observer.

(1) Tenerife There was one bird, almost sure feae/desertas (see two photos below) 40 nautic miles N of Tenerife, Canary Islands on 4.12 (Marcel Gil/SEO-BirdLife)
(3) A Coruña There was a bird off Estaca de Bares, A Coruña, on 16.12 (Antonio Sandoval, Dave McAdams). Best-ever year for the species in the area and Spain.
Lesser Flamingo Phoenicopterus minor (1,2)
(1) Cádiz The bird found on 24.11 at Salinas de Santa Teresa, Espacio Natural Doñana, Sanlúcar de Barrameda, Cádiz was still there on 5.12 (Eduardo Amengual)
(2) Málaga There was a bird at Fuentedepiedra lagoon, Málaga, on 25.12 (Andy Paterson).

(1-2) Cádiz On 6.12 2 birds were seen at Tarifa, Cádiz. One was possibly crossing back to Africa! (Javier Elorriaga/Fundación Migres)
Pallid Harrier Circus macrourus (1,2,3,4,5,6,7)
(1) Cádiz. On 4.12 the adult ♂ present at La Janda, Cádiz, remained in the area. Will it overwinter? (Javier Elorriaga).

(1) Gibraltar. On 17.12 ( Vincent Robba) and 18.12 (Clive Finlayson), an adult Lanner frequented the territory of a Peregrine at Europa Point, Gibraltar. See two photos below (Clive Finlayson).

(1) Barcelona A 1w bird that had been taken into care with a broken wing due to a crash within Barcelona city on 6.10.2011 (Generalitat de Cataluya Rural rangers) was released into the wild once fully recovered at Llobregat river, L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Barcelona on 12.12 carrying ICONA ring 4154068 (Ricard Gutiérrez). Allen's Gallinule Porphyrio alleni (1,2,3)
(1) Illes Balears. On 1.12 one adult was found dead at Palma airport, Mallorca, Balearic islands (José Luís Martínez)
(2) Fuerteventura. One bird was seen at Catalina García pond on 5.12 evening and it was confirmed the following day (Bosse Carlsson and Hans Bister). It was also photographed on 6.12 (David Pérez), see three photos below. Bird was still there on 18-19.12 (David Walsh) and on 21,22 & 23.12 (Roland Williams).
(3) Lanzarote. One adult, different from the Fuerteventura bird above was at Tias Golf course, Lanzarote, on 22.12 (F.Javier García Vargas) and 23.12 (F.J. Garcia Vargas, A.Unquiles). (1) Asturies On 3.12, a 1w was found at El Musel, Gijón (J.Sagardia; X.Cortés). The bird was seen again on 4.12 (Pablo Fernández Pérez). See a photo below and thumbnails here. The bird was seen again on 8.12 but it carried an angler's hook in its bill (Pablo Fernández Pérez). Unfortunately, it was not relocated early on 8.12 (P.Fernández Pérez) but seen later (Joan A. Yellow-browed Warbler Phylloscopus inornatus (1-3,4,5,6)
(1-3) A Coruña. On 4.12 three birds remained at Mar de Fora beach, Fisterra, A Coruña (Pablo Fernández García). One of them remained there on 8.12 (Óscar Llama & David Martínez Lago). One was trapped and ringed there on 18.12 (Graciela Fernández, Alexia del Río, Manuel Carregal y Alberto Monteagudo).

Greater Flamingo Phoenicopterus roseus (1) (1) Gran Canaria. The juvenile bird found on 17.9 at Gran Canaria was still at Charca de Maspalomas, S.Bartolomé de Tirajana on 3.12 (Miguel Avelino).See a thumbnail here. Sterna bengalensis and others. Larus delawarensis and Anthus
richardi have been withdrawn from the rarity list and are not be included
from 2006.

reports includes the latest sightings from the whole of Spain which are
both personal observations, communications or have been released in E-Mail
