(2-15) Cádiz. Fourteen were seen off Tarifa on 25.7 (Rafael García Costales,Álvaro Díaz et al). See two thumbnails here. (16-22) Cádiz. Seven were seen off Tarifa on 31.7 (Alberto Savijn, José Luis Anguita)

(2) Tarragona One was seen at Punta de la Banya, Delta de l'Ebre, Tarragona on 15.7 (David Bigas at ornitho.cat).On 23.7 this or another bird was relocated again at Punta de la Banya entrance (Julio Pérez Cañestro; Josep Tantull, Roser Solé, Thomas Kupper). Not seen from mid morning to evening but relocated at the same place on 24.7 mid morning (Ricard Gutiérrez, Carolina García; Josep Tantull, Roser Solé; Albert Cama, Hannu Koskinen). (2) Illes Balears One was seen at Salobrar de Campos, Mallorca, on 27.7 (Susana quintanilla y Lalo Ventoso)
(2) Murcia. There was an adult at Salinas San Pedro Pinatar, Murcia on 23-24.7 (D.Lozano; R.Howard; A.Fernández Caro, J.Palacios).See two thumbnails here. This individual remained there on 27.7 and 30.7, when seen with another individual (Richard Howard) (3) Murcia. There was a 2nd adult at Salinas San Pedro Pinatar, Murcia on 30.7 (Richard Howard). (3) Cádiz. On 15.7 there was one at Montijo beach, Chipiona, Cádiz (Paco Chiclana). See a photo below (P.Chiclana). (4-5) Cádiz. On 18.7 there were 2 different birds from bird (3) at Montijo beach, Chipiona, Cádiz. See a photo below (Rafael García Costales, Fernando Enrique y Yeray Seminario). (6) Huelva. On 18.7 there was one ringed bird at Doñana beach, Huelva (Carlos Gutiérrez Expósito).This bird had been ringed at Gara island, Libia two years and 10 days before. (7) Almería. On 31.7 one was seen in a tern breeding colony at Cabo de Gata, Almería (Delfín González) (8-9) Cádiz. There were 2 on passage through Straits of Gibraltar, at Tarifa,Cádiz (Carlos Torralvo/Fundación Migres)
(3) Murcia. Another individual, presumably different from (1-2)was at Salinas de Marchamalo, Murcia on 28-30.7 (Richard Howard). This bird may have bred in Murcia paired to a Sandwich during these months according to some authors (ed. comment). See two thumbnails here (Richard Howard)
(2-4) Cádiz. On 11.7 there were 3 at Montijo beach, Chipiona, Cádiz (Paco Chiclana). On the following days smaller amount of birds were seen in that beach or nearby beaches of Cádiz province but no way of knowing if those are different birds or the same initial 3: 1 bird on 12.7 at La Jara beach, San Lucar de Barrameda; 2 birds on 13.7 at Montijo beach, Chipiona and one bird on 14.7 at Montijo beach, Chipiona, see a photo below (Paco Chiclana).On 18.7 one was seen at Montijo beach, Chipiona (Rafal García Costales, Fernando Enrique y Yeray Seminario) (5) Cádiz. On 23.7 there was one at Desembocadura del río San Pedro, El Puerto de Santa María, Cádiz (Manuel Jiménez). On 24.7 it was photographed. It was an adult carrying two metal rings (Rafael García Costales). See a photo below.Seen again on 31.7 (Alberto Savijn) (6-7) Cádiz. On 26.7 there were two adults at Salina de la Tapa, Cádiz (Rafa García, Fernando del Valle, Mario Martín & Paco Chiclana). From 8-10.7 there were 3 birds within Tarifa municipality (José Luis Anguita). Five birds perhaps incuding these 3 were seen in the Sierra de la Plata area, Tarifa on 14.7 (Javier Elorriaga).This location has become another breeding site for Little Swift in S Spain when on 24-29.7 breeding is confirmed at least in two nests monitored until the end of the month (José Luís Anguita; Javier Misas y familia, José Antonio Sarrión, Alberto Savijn; Virginia Moreno, Salomé del Campo y familia).See two photos below (nest 1 and nest 2) Photo above:© Nest 1. (12-29) Cádiz. On 14.7 there were 23 birds at Chipiona, Cádiz (Paco Chiclana).See a thumbnail here.Two of those remained in the area on 18.7 midday (Rafael García Costales). (30) Cádiz. *** Ringed birds in Spain have to be submitted and accepted by CR/SEO-BirdLife, according to Environment Ministery of Spain and the authonomous communities agreements, to be accepted as valid ringings in the national database. Otherwise, non submitted or rejected records will be deleted and ringings will not be included in national or international databases. Ringers not submitting rare bird ringings will be listed. Submitting ringing records is hence specially encouraged as a contribution to global bird knowledge.. list from January 2006. New rarities include Sylvia curruca, Crex crex,
Sterna bengalensis and others. Larus delawarensis and Anthus
richardi have been withdrawn from the rarity list and are not be included
from 2006. Recent reports includes the latest sightings from the whole of Spain which are both personal observations, communications or have been released in E-Mail lists.
