Fulmar Fulmarus glacialis. Five birds were seen from 18-20.7 off Punta de la Vaca, Gozón, Asturias (Elías García Sánchez).

Western Reef Heron Egretta gularis gularis. A hybrid with Little Egret Egretta garzetta continues at Racó de l'Olla, Albufera de València (Nacho Díes).A bird was at desembocadura del Río Guadalhorce, Málaga, on 27.7 (José Antonio Sencianes Ortega/SEO Málaga).

American Bittern Botaurus lentiginosus. Late news concern an individual seen well at a pond 350 meters NW of Estanca de dos Reinos, Carcastillo, Navarra on 15.6.2001 (Juan A. Malo de Molina). Nobody has attempted relocating the bird in this traditional Bittern Botaurus lentiginosus  locality. A description has been submitted to CR/SEO.

Great White Egret Egretta alba. A bird was at Marjal del Moro (Moro marsh) on 12.7 (Marcial Yuste, Javier Falcó). And another was at Tancat de la Ratlla, Albufera de València, València, on 11.07 in breeding plumage (Fco. Javier García y Gans). The species is breeding now in Ebre Delta Natural Park, Tarragona, c.150 km N of these sites (PNDE).Two birds were still at Marjal del Moro on 24.7 (Marcial Yuste).A bird was at Estany de Vilahut, PN Aiguamolls de l'Empordà, on 21.7 (Aleix Comes) and it had been present there for a week (Jordi Martí). An adult breeding bird (black bill) was at Aiguamolls de Boada, Palau-Sator, Baix Empordà, Catalonia on 21.7 (Xavier Gàmez).

Glossy Ibis Plegadis falcinellus. The species is currently breeding in Doñana area, Huelva and Ebro delta, Tarragona. Besides, a ird remained all june onto the 6.7 at Embalse de Bornos, Cádiz (salvigosca@eresmas.net).Another lone individual was at Marjal del Moro, València, still on 24.7 (Marcial Yuste)

Ferruginous duck Aythya nyroca. A bird was in company of a Tufted Duck Aythya fuligula at Laguna de El Portil, Huelva, on 7.07 (Paco Chiclana).

Crested Coot Fulica cristata. A reintroduction scheme held in the Marjal del Moro (Moro Marsh), Sagunt, València, has produced successful results: 3 pairs were breeding (with chicks) in late july. This is the northernmost breeding location in Europe for the species. On 31.7, a PVC white collared bird was seen in Ebre Delta, Tarragona (Kev Wilson).

Ring-Billed Gull Larus delawarensis. An adult was seen in company of Yellow-legged gulls Larus cachinnans at vertedero de Leioa, Bizkaia on 17.7 (Gorka Ocio). This is an unseasonal sighting.

Sabine's Gull Larus sabini Seven (!) birds were seen from 18-20.7 off Punta de la Vaca, Gozón, Asturias (Elías García Sánchez).

Lesser-Crested Tern Sterna bengalensis. Three adults were seen at Odiel marshes, Huelva, on 7.07 in company of other terns (Paco Chiclana).An adult bird remained there on 22.7 (Joreu)

Little Swift Apus affinis. A bird was seen near Bolónia, Cádiz on 28.7 (Andy Paterson, Andrés Paterson y Carlos López-Jurado)
