Introduction
NE Spain
is one of the best places for crakes in the country. Amongst the places
where they can be most easily seen it stands out the Aiguamolls de l'Empordà
Natural Park (in catalan, 'the Empordà county marshes Natural Park).
This area offers a wide range of habitats favoured by migrant crakes at
the monthly chronicles of this website demonstrate and the following photos
taken by visiting birder Luis José Salverri, from Galicia, always
escorted by the local bird-recorder Jordi Martí-Aledo are a good
proof of this site value and potential.
