On 9.2.2003, Juan Carlos Lorenzo Rodolfo visited the harbour of his village, Castro Urdiales, Cantabria and found an adult Bonaparte's Gull Larus philadelphia. The following days it was seen and photographed by Juan Manuer Pérez de Ana and others. The bird was either on the rocks or the beach of Brazomar beach, near the harbour. It was associated to Black-headed Gull Larus ridibundus groups The colour and shape of bare parts, structure and plumage does tell the species from the closely related Black-headed Gull Larus ridibundus. All photos depicting adult Bonaparte's Gull by Juan Manuel Pérez de Ana photographed at Castro-Urdiales,Cantabria, on 10.2.2003.
